Bulletin May 14, 2007

Charity finished the work she and Sean did on "colgadas." Saturday Roman (the elegant one), back from Buenos Aires, will teach. Between Saturday lessons, Tango Week, Gato & Andrea workshops in June & July, Oscar Mandagaran workshops in August and any private lesson, summer should be a time of improvement.

Also in this Bulletin

1. The Video of the Week is a performance that begins with a colgada.

2. Get tickets to Forever Tango

3. Workshop Schedule for Gato & Andrea

1. Apropo of our recent work with Sean and Charity, the Video of the Week features David Chiu and Naomi Hotta performing at the Carlos Gardel International day held at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles in Dec, 2006. It is a dynamic performance that begins with a frozen colgada.

2. No classes makes it a perfect time to go see Forever Tango, the show that triggered many tango obsessions. Bob Hope Theatre, Stockton, May 26. Details: http://bobhopetheatre.com/eventdetails.asp?ID=128. We hope some will take propaganda for our Modesto tango community. There is no Argentine Tango in Stockton. It will also play Fresno on Wednesday, May 30.
