What's New

Monday

Bulletin, June 3, 2013

Ed Loomis' class, initiating the new Studio V venue, was excellent.  The next two Saturdays will be regular classes working on concepts about which Ed spoke. Practice time to help put class material into our muscle memory will follow.

I have been invited to give a one-hour lesson at the monthly Hughson Ballroom Dance., 6941 Hughson  Avenue, (inside the IOOF Lodge - second floor) on Saturday. DANCE LESSON: 7-8.p.m  SOCIAL DANCING: 8-10 p.m.  This is mostly a ballroom event, but I hope to give some introduction to Argentine Tango;  people may want to pursue it further.

On June 22 we host Eva Garlez and Pablo Rodriguez of Buenos Aires (pictured below) to lead afternoon workshops and do a short performance at our milonga that evening.  Eva and Pablo are part of the new younger generation of tangueros intent on preserving traditions, dancing and teaching the dance as done in Buenos Aires milongas.
