On June 22 we host Eva Garlez and Pablo Rodriguez of Buenos Aires (pictured below) to lead afternoon workshops and perform briefly at our evening milonga.  Eva and Pablo are part of the new younger generation of tangueros intent on preserving traditions, dancing and teaching the dance as done in Buenos Aires milongas.
Pablo and Eva offer private lessons on Sunday at  $80 for the hour.  NEW:  20 minute privates, $40 each.  Time subject to arrangement with coordinator. If interested contact me @ marymenz44@gmail.com, or call 209 522-1571.

CALENDAR FOR THE WEEK

MONDAY -  Today, June 17 & 24. Practica and social dancing at Jacobs Fine Dining, 2501 McHenry Ave. a good time to put into practice what was learned in class.  No fee, but you are encouraged to order food or drink from the menu.  Some come early to eat.

WEDNESDAY - June 19,    Beginner class at the Senior Center, 211 Bodem. 2:30 p.m.. free  

SATURDAY - June 22, Workshops with Eva Garlez & Pablo Rodriguez. Jacobs Fine Dining, 2501 McHenry Ave.
2 p.m. - Beginners - Chest Lead,   3:30 - Continuing _ Freedom within the close embrace.
$25 for one class, $40 for both.  
That evening, a milonga
7:30 - Pre-milonga Introductory class. 8:30 Milonga.  10:15 Short Performance by Eva & Pablo
$10 includes the lesson.  Food and drink to order off the menu, available throughout the evening. This makes for a lovely evening out.

MILONGAS
Saturday, June 22,  Jacobs Fine Dining, 2501 McHenry.  Eva Garlez & Pablo Rodriguez of Buenos Aires will conduct an introductory lesson at 7:30 p.m. , and perform later, at 10:15 at that evening's milonga. They have been regular contributors to the annual Buenos Aires Milongueando festival.  Their focus: Dance as you would on the dance floor, not on the stage. $10 includes the lesson.  Food and drink to order off the menu, available throughout the evening. This makes for a lovely evening out.

Tuesday,  Quarry Ponds Plaza, 5550 Douglas Blvd., Granite Bay. 6:30 p.m, into October.  Tango under the stars. a milonga with a lake background! The chef from Source Restaurant will make specials and provide special prices for beer and wine.  

Wednesday, Bravo Restaurant, 1465 Eureka Road, Roseville,  Tango 6:30-9:30 p.m. Good food, good prices.

Sunday, June 30th, NATOMAS ROSE GARDEN, 2921 Truxel Road, Sacramento,  OUTDOOR MILONGA 
The milonga takes place at 6:30 p.m. after the Dedication of the new Rose Garden Fountain.   Michelle Gorre will be your DJ for the evening. Bring snacks or drinks to share. The milonga is FREE - A "Thank you" to the Tango Community for its support during the Garden's February fundraiser.
