Practicas at Jacobs resume tonight - for now Modesto's only tango outlet; come have a glass of wine, meet other tangueros and enjoy the dance. With no classes for now in Modesto, consider workshops and out of town milongas listed below

"Vibrations of the Soul,"This weekend:  June 11/12,   8 p.m. Sacramento, at the 24th Street Theatre (Sierra 2 Center), 2791 24th St. Musical history of Argentine tango directed by Ernesto Rassi with a cast of Sacramento area and outside professional tango dancers. There will be a milonga after the Saturday night show.  Everyone who attended the show  get in free, so if you get part of your ticket back that night, bring that with you to get into the milonga for free.

MONDAY - Tonight, June 7 & 14,   Social dancing and practica at  Jacobs Fine Dining, 2501 McHenry. 6:30 p.m. No fee, but you are encouraged to order food or drink from the menu. A good place to practice class material.  Come early to eat.

SATURDAY -  No class. Watch for announcements of classes resuming in fall.

Level III changes monthly but always focuses on technique, musicality, and  close embrace. 8:30-9:30 p.m. Level III Intermediate/Advanced Tango.

The world-famous tango music group Narcotango  in its only Northern California visit 
 In addition to the Narcotango shows Saturday/Sunday night, there will be tango workshops, practicas and milongas  Friday evening through late Sunday. Artists, from Buenos Aires to Berlin will teach and perform.
Narcotango is original tango music melded with electronic music.
Carlos Libedinsky, musical director of Narcotango, wrote, "Narcotango is a deep embrace between tango and the electronic musical atmosphere of our times." Since its inception in Buenos Aires, Narcotango became well-known and danced in milongas all around the world and shortly afterwards,  shops in central Buenos Aires,  played it to give music to  everyday life.  http://www.carloslibedinsky.com/  Throughout the weekend, world-famous tango instructors and artists will offer workshops for all levels, from those who have never stepped foot on a dance floor to those who have danced for years.  "La AlterNATIVA Tangathlon" will provide an excellent opportunity to dance tango with world-class tangueros, listen to excellent music from renowned artists, and find out more about the growing tango community in Sacramento.

Due to the high volume of registration by followers, registration for single women is closed for both NT Week and Weekend to keep gender balance, an equal number of men and women.
