Diego and Negracha were excellent teachers; their workshops gave quite a work-out. In June we return to normal. The first Saturday brings the opportunity to pay $40 for the month in advance.
  
CALENDAR FOR THE  WEEK


MONDAY - Tonight, June 1 & 8,  Social dancing and practica at Jacobs,
8 p.m., 2501 McHenry Avenue. A good place to practice class material.  ALL levels encouraged.  No fee, but you're urged to buy food and/or drink.  Come early to eat.


SATURDAY - June 6, regular classes at Modesto Fitness & Racquet Club, 200 Norwegian, Peter teaching.
Beginner level 11 a.m. to noon,  Supervised practica until 12:15
Intermediate level: 12:15 - 1:15 p.m. - Supervised practica to 2 p.m.
$12 a lesson, intermediate students encouraged to attend both at no extra fee, work on technique and be there for beginners. Practica, $5, included in lesson. Introductory packages available one time only for $75, include nine lessons, only usable at the beginner level. This week pay $40 for a four week month,  not refundable.

TUESDAY
Sacramento - At Tango by the River, 128 J Street, Old Sacramento,
Tuesday Night Classes with Glenn Corteza!
For the month of June, San Francisco's  Glenn Corteza will teach the  classes with  Donna Williams. Glenn  specializes in musicality and connection. He  is particularly good at teaching a comfortable and elegant tango, and  has a flair for breaking down difficult concepts beautifully and ingeniously.
The prices for the Tuesday classes will be slightly more than usual for June only. The prices for the Tuesday classes in June will be $75 per person or $140 per couple
($20 drop-in per class).  (3 hours a Tuesday) or 15 hours for only $75 — 
The program for June:
Level I -- 6:30-7:30 p.m. -- The Rhythms of Tango - Tango is an improvisational dance and there is no set rhythm like salsa or swing. We will cover the four basic rhythms and show you how to easily improvise on your own on the first day.
Level II -- 7:30-8:30 p.m. -- Pivots and Turns - We will work on ochos and break it down into its smallest elements so you can finally learn to master this basic move. You will be able to do ochos on your own, learn to practice effectively to improve your balance and consistency so it becomes second nature when you go out dancing.
Level III -- 8:30-9:30 p.m. -- Listening to Music - Training your ear to hear different parts of the music to better inform your way of dancing. We will go over standard rhythms, melody, phrasing and the dynamics of floor craft.

Tango with Sean & Charity: Four-Week Intermediate Series
Rhythmic Movements and Variations.   8-9:30 p.m.
In this series,  focus on various movements to emphasize musical elements.
The class  includes syncopated/dynamic ochos as well as disassociation between leader and follower quicksteps.
$35 for all 4 weeks
