Christopher  and Caroline gave us  a wonderful weekend with classes that were fun and accessible.  Our milonga was well attended by local, Sacramento and Fresno tangueros.  A good time was had. Saturday we resume regular classes with Patrick, who was at the milonga.  It will also be the first Saturday of the month, giving you an opportunity to pay $40 for the month.
                                                                

CALENDAR FOR THE  WEEK

MONDAY - Tonight,  Feb.  2 & 9, Social dancing and practica at Jacobs, 8 p.m., 2501 McHenry Avenue. A good place to practice class material.  No fee, but you are urged to order food and/or drink off the menu.  Come early to eat.

SATURDAY -Feb. 7 - Ongoing classes at Modesto Fitness and Racquet Club , 200 Norwegian Avenue.  -
11 a.m. - noon Beginning Level,  noon to 12:15 - supervised practica
12:15 -  1:15 Intermediate  level
$12 per class drop in. This week,  $40 for the month ($10 a class) , Introductory package of 9 lessons $75 - one time offer and usable only at the beginner level.

Miriam Larici and Leonardo Barrionuevo who took first place in the duet category in the Superstars of Dance world competition on NBC,  will be teaching 5 workshops over the Valentines weekend,   the class before the milonga on Valentines night -- AND performing for  the milonga!
The schedule:
Saturday, Feb. 14 -- 2:30 - 4 p.m. -- " Technique for Men and Women: Techniques to Improve Balance and Posture in Social Dancing" (all levels). This one is an excellent way to set the foundation for the classes to come.

Saturday, Feb. 14 -- 4:30 - 6 p.m. -- "Tango: Exploring Musicality and Rhythm within Simple Combinations of Steps (all levels)." Technique, Musicality, Connection -- the most important things in dancing tango. 

Sunday, Feb. 15 -- 1-2:30 p.m. -- "Connection and Navigation using Social Patterns" (Intermediate). 

Sunday, Feb. 15 -- 3-4:30 p.m. -- Close Embrace Style to Navigate the Floor" (Intermediate/Advance). 

Sunday, Feb. 15 -- 5-6:30 p.m. -- "Milonga: Rhythm and Navigation in the  Milonga Embrace" (Intermediate). 

Prices:  One class $35 Two classes $65 Three classes $80
Four classes $90 All Five Classes --  $100.
