Fresno Tango WELCOMES Modesto's

DANIELA AND ALEJANDRO

Alejandro and Daniela started dancing tango together 3 years ago. They are part of Modesto Tango. They have studied with Argentine tango masters Marina Fuhr in Milan, Italy and Hugo 'el Gato' Valdez and Andrea Monti.

Daniela trained in ballet from age 6 to 32; she also studied modern dance, jazz, and flamenco for several years. She has performed in Italy, Germany, and France in ballet and flamenco. Daniela is Professor of Philosophy at CSU Stanislaus.

Alejandro grew up in Argentina. His experience of Latin American culture and folk music informs his study of the milonga. Alejandro is a Professor of Philosophy and Latin American studies at CSU Stanislaus.

The introductory Milonga class will focus on musicality, the basic step and variations on the basic step (cradle step, vine step). The intermediate class will work on close embrace, traspie' and milonga ochos.
