Bulletin April 30, 2007

Sean and Charity began their rotation with "colgadas" for the intermediates. Work will continue on this theme for the next two weeks. Beginners were introduced to half-turns. Saturday is another opportunity to sign up for the month at $10 a week. Due to the Memorial Day Weekend, there will only be three weeks in May (no classes on May 26), so the fee for the month will be $30.

An intense summer is ahead. Gato & Andrea return for workshops on Tuesdays Evenings in June and July. They will conduct eight workshops at the Modesto Fitness & Racquet Club, 200 Norwegian Ave., Modesto: The cost will be: 1 or 2 workshops $30 each per person
3 or 4 workshops $27 each per person
5 or 6 workshops $25 each per person
7 or 8 workshops $22 each per person

The classes will be mostly geared to intermediate tango dancers, though the first two would be appropriate for beginners with some dance background.

In late July and early August, Oscar Mandagaran will conduct workshops on Wednesdays and Thursdays. If you also attend Nora's Tango Week or Weekend (or both) your tango will surely shoot up a lot.

Also in this Bulletin

1. The Video of the Week is an animation movie "En Tus Brazos".

2. Get tickets to Forever Tango

1. The Video of the Week is a beautiful French animation movie "En Tus Brazos" about how nothing can stop a tango dancing couple ... not even fate

2. With no classes on May 26, it is a perfect time too see Forever Tango, the show that triggered many tango obsessions. Bob Hope Theatre, Stockton, May 26. Details: http://bobhopetheatre.com/eventdetails.asp?ID=128. We hope some will take propaganda for our Modesto tango community. There is no Argentine Tango in Stockton.
