Roman gave beginners and intermediates a lovely lesson, working the eight count basic into other possibilities. He will teach next week and the first two weeks of December. Peter returns on the third Saturday in November. Roman and partner, Sherri also incorporated some Alexander technique principles..
Mario Molina of Cordoba, Argentina, a hit at our milonga three weeks ago, will conduct workshops in Modesto next Sunday, Nov. 14. Pre-register now and save.
I must know the attendance within the next few days.
Our next milonga will be Wednesday, Jan. 12, when Tango Buenos Aires returns to the Gallo Center with a pre-show milonga in the lobby.
CALENDAR FOR THE WEEK
MONDAY - Tonight, Nov. 8 & 15. Social dancing and practica at Jacobs Fine Dining, 2501 McHenry. No fee, but you could order food or drink off the menu. Jacobs has been in contact with MTV, filming an episode of MADE and following a a young woman who wants to be a Latin dancer. MADE, a reality/documentary style series, is in its 11th season. A student has a goal/dream, gets a coach and trains. MTV wants to bring her to Monday tango night at Jacobs and film her visit either Monday 11/15 or Monday 11/22. They use one small hand held camera without wires or set up lights. They do require that if others do appear on camera they sign a release. MTV will shoot around anyone who does not want to be on camera, This could be a fun evening a Jacobs A good place to practice class material.
WEDNESDAY - Nov. 10. Beginner class at Modesto Senior Center, 211 Bodem St. at Scenic. 3 p.m. No fee.
SATURDAY - Nov. 13 - Classes at Sophia's Dance Journey, 711 10th St. (between G & H). Introductory classes 11 a.m. - Intermediate and advanced class at 12:30 p.m. $12 per person per class, drop in. Roman, one of Modesto Tango's first instructor returns with his elegant styling.
