Hope you are all enjoying the Memorial Day weekend. We resume classes this week. Last time Kenny gave us technical work on body rotation and some neat vals moves in the 2nd class. Unfortunately his summary of the classes did not properly get linked in our video of the week, so here they are now: https://modestotango.blogspot.com/search/label/Video - and speaking of Kenny, he returns again next Saturday , June 2 at Studio V, at 4345 Spyres Ave, off of Bangs. The first class meant for all levels is at 11 am, the second class at a more intermediate level is at 12:30. Cost of one class is $15, both classes $25. Classes at the Senior Center, 211 Bodem Avenue on Wednesday at 2:30, resume as well. In other exciting news, Joaquin Amenabar, world class tango musicologist, wants to come to Modesto on July 14. He has written the book, "Tango, Let's Dance to the Music" and has been doing workshops in the US and Europe. We do need a critical mass, so I would encourage you ALL to come and encourage someone else to come along.
Until later, Mary
