This Saturday we have another guest instructor.  Jean-Pierre Sighe,  Bay Area instructor who for many years hosted the popular Tango Magdalena milonga.  Jean-Pierre of Cameroon, along with Facundo Posadas is a founding member of A.R.T.S (Afro roots in Tango Society) and has made a study of the impact of African slaves and their descendants on Argentine Tango. There will be one class for all levels at 11 a.m.  and a second class at a more advanced level at 12:30.  The class fee of $15 for one class and $25 for both includes the following week's follow-up class.

Our late January classes and milonga with Andrea Monti fell through, as she is still in Buenos Aires and will not be able to get back into the US until February.  We look at rescheduling her later in the year.

I

n late February we have Eva & Pablo back, practitioners of traditional close embrace milonguero style.  In March we have a return of the Redwood Tango Ensemble.    So much to look forward to - stay tuned.

Until later, Mary
