Things have quieted on Modesto's tango scene. Peter Baldridge of Sacramento will teach on the first and third Saturday of October.  A technician par-excellence, he will do two classes daily. The fee - $15 for one, $25 for both - will also cover the subsequent week's follow-up.

Modesto Tango is a non-profit association of tango aficionados dedicated to sharing artistic, cultural and social aspects of Argentine tango. 

Today, Sept.16 & 23. Practica and social dancing at Jacobs, 7-9 p.m.  A good place to work on class material and socialize with fellow tangueros.  No fee, but you are encouraged to order food or drink off the menu.  Some come early to eat.

WEDNESDAY - Sept. 18,    Beginner class at the Senior Center, 211 Bodem. 2:30 p.m., free. 

SATURDAY - Sept. 21 - Class  at Studio V Fitness & Pilates , 4345 Spyres, off Bangs.  11 a.m. with practica to follow.
$10 drop in.
