Feedback on the lesson by Kenny & Choi has been only positive, with much material to continue on next month.   This Week's Video summarizes their class. If you paid last Saturday, the cost of this class, will continue, and is included.

A lot of tango in the next few weeks in the Northern California area, with many different tango masters visiting. Luciana Valle will be in the Bay Area in September, Susanna Miller is in the Bay Area in August as is Hugo Patyn.  In Sacramento Eduardo Saucedo and Oscar Mandagaran and Georgina Vargas return. Many opportunities to work with different masters.

Saucedo returns to Modesto Sept. 7 to conduct workshops and dance with us at our milonga. 

 CALENDAR FOR THE WEEK

MONDAY -  Today August 5 & 12. Practica and social dancing at Jacobs Fine Dining, 2501 McHenry Ave. a good time and place to practice class material.  No fee, but you are encouraged to order food or drink from the menu.  Some come early to eat.

WEDNESDAY - August 7,    Beginner class at the Senior Center, 211 Bodem. 2:30 p.m.. free  

SATURDAY - Studio V, 4345 Spyres, just off Bangs, near McHenry. Class in basics, building on what Kenny Bell taught  at 11 a.m., $10 drop in (unless you were at the workshop) you can save some by paying $35 for the next four weeks..

Sacramento: Tango by the River, 128 J St., Old Sacramento  Paradas & Barridas with Donna & Nicholas
For the month of August, Donna & Nicholas will focus on paradas (stops) and barridas (sweeps). These beautiful and elegant movements are useful in both social and stage tango. So come join us as we explore a month of the technique, movement, and musicality of these playful moves.  EveryTuesday from 7:00-8:30 pm, followed by a practica from 8:30-9:30 or so. (some tango experience required) Cost $50 per person, $90 per couple for the month includes 3 CLASSES AND 2 PRACTICAS EVERY WEEK! Drop-in fees are $15

MILONGAS


Our next milonga is Saturday, Sept. 7, with guest artist Eduardo Saucedo, who will DJ that night and conduct a couple of workshops earlier in the day - one at 2 p.m. and one at 3:30  All events a Jacobs Fine Dining.

Forever Tango comes to the Gallo Center on Jan. 10.  The show will be preceded by a pre-show free milonga in the lobby of the Gallo Center. More on that later
