We had a lovely First Friday milonga with out-of-towners and classes with Patrick - full of useful materials on which we will continue to work.

The recent US tango championship stage category was won by Marcelo Molina and Carolina Vazquez with the routine they did for us March 2.

A Los Angeles pair won the Salon category

Saturday's class will be back at VBoogie's Dance Journey, 711 10th St..  

CALENDAR FOR THE WEEK

MONDAY -  April 8 & 15. Social dancing and practica, Jacobs, 2501 McHenry. 7-9 p.m., an opportunity to practice what we learned in class. No fee, but you are encouraged to order food or drink from the menu.  Some come early to dine.

WEDNESDAY - April 10,    Beginner class at the Senior Center, 211 Bodem. 2:30 p.m.. free  

SATURDAY - April 13,  Classes  at VBoogie's Dance Journey, 711 10th St.,   11 a.m-noon.  Cost $10

Friday, April 12, Tango on Broadway,. 2416 18th St. Third place World Salon Champions Brian Nguyen and Yuliana Basmajyan, will perform around 9:30.  This performance will not be suitable only for the stage; only for the dance floor.  They will demonstrate how you can dance  beautifully on the social dance floor without kicking, lifting or other showy stuff.    8-midnight, $10


Saturday:  April 20, Firehouse 5, 2014 9th St. Springtime at the Moulin Rouge - Break out cute summer dresses - colorful or sparkling. Gentlemen, grab your top hats and tails and bring a taste of Paris to Sacramento!  DJ Chris  $10
