We worked on "ocho cortado" Saturday, a move one encounters frequently at milongas.  We will stay with it in the Wednesday class.  Other than that, our regular classes and practicas in Modesto  go smoothly  for now. 

CALENDAR FOR THE WEEK

MONDAY -  March 11 & 18, . Social dancing and practica, Jacobs, 2501 McHenry. 7-9 p.m., an opportunity to practice what we learned in class. No fee, but you are encouraged to order food or drink from the menu.  Some come early to dine.

WEDNESDAY -  March 13,  Beginner class, Senior Center, 211 Bodem. 2:30 p.m.. free  

SATURDAY - March 16,  11 a.m.  - Beginning basics,  at VBoogie's Dance Journey, 711 10th Street, behind the Gallo Art Center.  $10 per  lesson.

TUESDAY
Sacramento:
At Firehouse 5 Dance, 2014B 9th Street.  Tango Technique:  Class may include warm-up, isolations, drills, floor work and cool-down! Learn great exercises to do on your own to start becoming a better partner.  Wear comfortable shoes and clothing and get ready to work out!
7-8:15 p.m.  Cost: $40 month, $12 drop-in

Tango by the River, 128 J Street,  Old Sacramento.  Further Explorations in Tango Volcada. A new series  with Donna & Nicholas,  covering Volcadas -- beautiful off-axis movements - elegant and graceful and oh-so-sexy. Tuesday classes  designed for those with some Argentine tango experience. 7-8:30 p.m, practica, 8:30-9:30 p.m;  (tango experience required). Drop-in fee: $15

Tango on Broadway, 2416 18th  Street,: Special Ladies Leading class on  7:00-9:00p (7-8p lesson, 8-9p  
practice session) $10 only.

Monthly:  $50/Single; $90/Couple; Includes all   Wednesday lessons  and Monday  práctica.
