Festival Registration
Pre-registration on line.
Classes
Schedules may be subject to change.
Teachers reserve the right to ask students they feel unable to keep up or disruptive to leave. For those unable to keep up, management will make every attempt to substitute a class at an appropriate level, but no refunds will be offered. To be fair to all attendees, teachers will not alter the level of classes for students unable to keep up. The festival classes were programmed to teach specific topics/material to benefit students from advanced beginners to advanced level. For your benefit, it is  important to know your level when you register.
We have included a simple description of the levels and classified the classes in four groups:
1. All Levels: a great class for every student (advanced beginners, intermediate and advanced) who has had regular instruction for a minimum of six months and/or who wants to work on or refresh fundamentals and technique.  Basic understanding of technique, simpler concepts and steps  is necessary so these are NOT  beginner level classes.
2. Intermediate: a reasonable level of technical understanding of tango, handling close and open embrace and a good repertoire of steps is needed (molinetes, barridas, voleos, sacadas). At this level, dancers need to have good navigation and connection. Partner rotation is recommended.
3. Intermediate/Advanced: These classes are intended for more experienced intermediate and advanced dancers. You should meet all the requirements of the intermediate level described above, be able to lead or follow more challenging tango figures and navigate on a crowded floor. Partner rotation is recommended in these classes though it will be up to the teachers.
4. Advanced: excellent understanding of the technical aspects of tango, navigation, improvisational resources and connection are major factors. You should be able to execute complex tango figures. We strongly advise you register as a couple to get maximum benefit. Some advanced classes offered will be limited to couples to maximize class content. In others, partner rotation will be up to the teachers, but is not mandatory.
Gender Balance
The organizers  appreciate your cooperation in registering early to help achieve balance. To maximize class time, it is best to bring your own partner. Although we do our best  to gender balance the classes, we cannot be responsible for your partner's level in classes that rotate partners. Once on line registration is closed, you will only be able to sign up for classes on site with a partner, or in classes that aren't already balanced. Competition and Milongas
There will be Salon Tango and Stage Tango Competitions and Milongas every evening (First qualifying Round plus Opening Milonga on Thursday, Second qualifying Round and Milonga with live orchestra on Friday, Semifinal and Milonga with performances by the Masters on Saturday and the Grand Final and Farewell Milonga with performances by the Masters on Sunday).
The ticket to the milonga enables you to attend the competition as well, so if you want to attend one or more of the Competitions and Milongas, we strongly suggest that you purchase your tickets on line in advanced. Please, make your payment on line or send a check by mail before April 11 to:
