What's New

Bulletin, July 26, 2010

As we rev up for September classes, mark your calendars for Friday, Oct. 15, our  Jacobs gala with the Mario Parmisano ensemble, Argentine musicians on a world tour promoting a CD focused on Piazzolla works.  Their performance at a fixed price meal precedes dancing.

On a January Wednesday, Tango Buenos Aires returns to the Gallo Center; the center wants a pre-show lobby milonga.  Details on both events later. Meanwhile your editor prepares for another trip to Tango Mecca - Buenos Aires and classes with some legendary milongueros.  I'll have much to report on my return.  I will put our one more bulletin before I leave and then Dennis Kennelly, our web-master will keep you posted in my absence.  Laura Paul will be taking charge of the Monday practica at Jacobs.

MONDAY - 7 p.m. Tonight, July 26 & Aug. 2,   Social dancing and practica at Jacobs Fine Dining, 2501 McHenry. Currently Modesto's only tango outlet. No fee, but you're encouraged to order food or drink off the menu. A good place to practice class material.  Come early to eat; check out a new menu for the "Blue Sage Bistro".

SATURDAY -  No class. Watch for announcements of classes resuming in fall.
Modesto Tango is a non-profit association of tango aficionados dedicated to sharing artistic, cultural and social aspects of Argentine tango. To unsubscribe: <<http://groups.google.com/group/Modesto-Tango/subscribe>
