We meet once more before summer, a practica following a beginner class.  We hope to start with better attendance in fall to guarantee continuing in Modesto. So come to Juline's for Saturday's finale.  Except for Memorial Day, practicas at Jacobs will continue. Meanwhile look up workshops and out of town milongas listed below.,
"Vibrations of the Soul," a musical history of Argentine tango, promises to be a worthwhile evening. Information on that below.

MONDAY - Tonight, May 17 & 24: Social dancing and practica at Jacobs Fine Dining,  6:30 p.m., 2501 McHenry. Practice class material. All levels encouraged. No fee, but you're urged to buy food and/or drink. Come early to eat.

SATURDAY -  May 22,  Practica.  Review material covered in class.
11 a.m. -All levels - beginners encouraged   $5  (per person).

 Level I, fundamentals of Argentine tango. basic elements of tango walk (caminada) and introduction of basic steps, emphasizing posture, leading and following skills, and interpreting the music. 6:30-7:30 p.m. Level II focuses on pivots and turns, and  applying  steps learned into a social setting. 7:30-8:30 p.m. Level II - Intermediate Tango. Level III changes monthly but always focuses on technique, musicality, and  close embrace. 8:30-9:30 p.m. Level III Intermediate/Advanced Tango. Tuesday.

CAROLINA and DONATO powerfully combine their technical and interpretive experience. As teachers, they transmit sensibility, energy and passion. Carolina partnered Fabian Salas for many years, traveling around the world giving workshops and exhibitions,. Donato is one of the most talented of the new generation of tango dancers in Argentina. Musical, elegant, precise, driven, he teaches tango as he dances it. From his hometown of Mar del Plata, Argentina, he has been part of a group of enthusiastic young dancers  tirelessly exploring intricacies of this dance. .

The single most important tango festival in the United States  includes classes, chamuyos and  nightly milongas with exhibitions by the top dancers.
 If you are   registered for Tango Week, the milongas are   included.
For those who wish to purchase milonga tickets,  buy them early as they  are traditionally sold out.
The Milongas will feature  the music of "The" DJ from Buenos Aires, Mario Orlando and, except for July 1st,   Live Music  by Hombres de Tango with Seth Asarnow
