Bulletin, September 28, 2009 -

Many have trouble finding Juline's School of Dance, 144 Woodrow. Tango classes are not in the main building but across the way - same parking lot, Studio E. 
Sean & Charity finished their rotation. Next Saturday will be a practica, not a lesson, with an opportunity to work on class material.  The 10 a.m. absolute beginner class will still take place, with a $5 fee for the entire session. October will give us two practicas, a weekend with Gato & Andrea,two classes with Patrick. Many options.

MONDAY - Tonight,  Sept. 28:  NO tango at Jacobs, which will host a rock concert.  We will meet there again on Monday, Oct. 5 .

SATURDAY: Oct. 17
11 a.m. - Ladies technique and embellishments -  (Class  specific for women) -
12:30 - Milonga - (all levels) Rhythm and musicality. Close embrace and connection. Speed. Different walks. Easy and useful moves for the social dance, leading  transfer of weight.  Perhaps some traspié.
SUNDAY: Oct. 18
Noon - Beginners workshop (all levels welcome!!) working on tango fundamentals with technique applied to social dance patterns. Changes of directions. Resources for good navigation. Coordination and musicality. Flexibility of the embrace.
1:30 - Vals -Rhythm and musicality for vals. Specific figures in cross system. Use of the turns with syncopation for vals; double time and pauses. 
1 workshop $30; 2 workshops $55; 3 or 4 workshops $25 each.

WHAT DOES BEING MUSICAL REALLY MEANS IN TANGO.
One of the differences between a good dancer and a great dancer is understanding HOW to be musical. Using THREE guidelines, we will learn how to dance in a magical musical mutuality.
Diagnostic Practica - 2:30-4 p.m. SUBJECT: GANCHOS If you've learned  gancho sequences or combinations, bring those along and let's work out the kinks to make them more comfortable, and musical.
1 Class/Diagnostic = $25,  2 Classes/Diagnostics = $45, 3 Classes/Diagnostics = $60,
