It was nice to see Patrick and everyone else again after a long break. Tango is back;  local tangueros have opportunities to dance here as well as out of town.
 
August 16 we want to carpool to San Francisco for "Tango X3"  at the Palace of Fine Arts. A pre-show milonga is included in the ticket cost; if 10 or more respond  to <mailto:mary. menz@sbcglobal. net> we can get a group rate for as little as $16, or 20% off. CALENDAR FOR THE  WEEK

MONDAY - Tonight, August 4 & 11, Practica at Jacobs, Social dancing  2501 McHenry Ave.  An informal chance to work on moves learned in class and get floor time. No fee, but you're urged to order off the menu. We start about 8 p.m.; some come early to dine. We may dance until 9:30 p.m.

SATURDAY - August 9 - Classes   at Modesto Fitness and Racquet Club, 200 Norwegian Avenue, Patrick teaching.   Tango Basics  @ 11 a.m.  Continuing Tango @ 12 p.m. Practica from 1 to 1:45 p.m. $12 per class.  Intermediates invited to the beginner class at no additional charge to work on technique and be there for beginners. On the first Saturday of the month you can sign up for the remainder of the month for $40 ($10 a class)  Also available for beginners is an introductory kit offering 9 classes for $75.  Only usable at the beginner level.
