We had our tango rest; now we rev up for our weekend with Oscar & Georgina.

Our milonga on Friday and workshops with Oscar & Georgina Saturday are here. Touring the U.S performing and giving workshops, they will be with us just one weekend, so we should take this opportunity. Details below.

CALENDAR FOR THE WEEK

MONDAY - Next week , June 2 : Practica and social dancing at Jacobs, 2501 McHenry. An informal chance to work on moves learned in class and get floor time. No fee, but you're urged to order off the menu. We start about 8 p.m.; some come early to dine. We may dance until 9:30 p.m. See Monday at Jacobs.
After working with Oscar & Georgina, do not miss the opportunity to practice the techniques taught.

Oscar debuted in this area with the touring company of "Forever Tango". You can also see him in Carlos Saura's movie "Tango." Georgina was trained as a classic and contemporary dancer. She performs in Buenos Aires, Europe and Asia. She is also known for tango vocals.

Sacramento: At Tango by the River, 128 J. Street, Old Sacramento.
Level I - Beginning Tango - Tuesdays 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Level II - Intermediate Tango - Tuesdays 7:30-8:30 p.m.
Level III - Intermediate/Advanced Tango - Tuesdays 8:30-9:30 p.m.
These classes get you on your way to dancing Argentine Tango socially. In Level I, you learn fundamentals: basic elements of the tango walk and introduction of basic steps, emphasizing posture, leading and following skills, and interpreting the music. Level II focuses on pivots and turns, and how to apply steps learned so far into the social setting. Level III changes every month but always focuses on technique, musicality, and steps appropriate to the social milonga.
Classes taught by Donna Williams and Mark Napier.
