Those familiar with Bay Area tango will recognize her as assistant to Nora Dinzelbacher, Carol has been involved in the Bay Area tango scene for years, and teaches Nora's classes when Nora is gone. She just got back from one of her numerous trips to Buenos Aires..

Our milonga on Friday, May 30, and workshops with Oscar & Georgina, Saturday May 31, are near. Touring the U.S performing and giving workshops; they will be with us just one weekend, so we should avail ourselves of this opportunity. Details below

Oscar debuted in this area with the touring company of "Forever Tango". You can also see him in Carlos Saura's movie "Tango." Georgina was trained as a classic and contemporary dancer. She performs in Buenos Aires, Europe and Asia. She is also known for tango vocals.

Level I - Beginning Tango - Tuesdays 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Level II - Intermediate Tango - Tuesdays 7:30-8:30 p.m.
Level III - Intermediate/Advanced Tango - Tuesdays 8:30-9:30 p.m.
These classes get you on your way to dancing Argentine Tango socially. In Level I, you learn fundamentals: basic elements of the tango walk (caminada) and introduction of basic steps, emphasizing posture, leading and following skills, and interpreting the music. Level II focuses on pivots and turns, and how to apply steps learned so far into the social setting. Level III changes every month but always focuses on technique, musicality, and steps appropriate to the social milonga.
