There was much excitement at the TangoUSA Championship over the weekend as competitors from all over the United States danced for the US tango championship and to win a chance to compete in the Tango World Cup in Buenos Aires in August. This event is definitely one to consider attending some time.  A relatively new Tango Festival, it is always held on Easter weekend.

Saturday, April 11, Mayumi Fujio  returns to Modesto with two classes, one for all levels in which beginners are encouraged, at 11 a.m. and the other at a continuation level at 12:30. Fee for the class is $15 for one and $25 for both.

Wednesday class at the Senior Center, however is cancelled this week due to a conflicting event being held at the center.  See you all again on April 15, Tax day.

NEW: Monday night practica held at Urbano is now held on TUESDAY.  Urbano is on H Street, behind the Gallo Center.    As the floor is concrete, however, we recommend  avoid using suede bottom dance shoes, leather is best.

Until later, Mary
