Thursday, Nov. 12, at The Empire Theatre on Stockton's Miracle Mile, (1825 N. Pacific Avenue) at 7.30 p.m.: Tango Argentino, an exciting look at tango music from Buenos Aires. Bay area musicians Quinteto del Bailongo specialize in tango with piano, bass, violin, guitar and bandoneón. They will recreate the music of Troilo and Piazzolla, two of tango's most prolific composers. The show includes two dynamic Bay Area dancers, our own Sean and Charity. Known for a charismatic approach to the dance, Sean and Charity will perform with emphasis on tradition and modern styles of the dance. Local musician Jesse Christian Hendricks will open the show with Spanish guitar music by his trio, Spanish Nights. The music includes flamenco rumba and other styles from Argentina and Brazil.
