What's New

Bulletin, September 14, 2009 -

Many have trouble finding Juline's School of Dance, 144 Woodrow - Tango classes are not in the main building but across the way - same parking lot at Studio E.
It was great to see Sean again.  Next week Charity will pick up where he left off.
Thursday is our monthly art walk milonga (dance party) at Concetta's downtown.
Hope for a good turnout there.

The  half hour  absolute beginners class brought two new people who stayed for Sean's class.  Again, if you know folks who might wonder if tango is for them, steer them to the studio at 10 a.m.  Meanwhile we hope to see increased attendance; the  future of tango in Modesto depends on that. We will be back at Jacobs tonight as well.  Opportunities to dance this week are multiple.

MONDAY - Tonight,  Sept. 14 & 21: Social dancing and practica at Jacobs Fine Dining,  8 p.m., 2501 McHenry. A good place to practice class material.
ALL levels encouraged.  No fee, but you're urged to buy food and/or drink.  Come early to eat.

THURSDAY -  September 17 - Art Walk Milonga at Concetta's 1205 J Street.  We dance as passersby walk from art gallery to art gallery.August was for photography, and many passersby sported cameras and captured us.  Who knows what it is this month?  Come enjoy wine, food. socializing  and an opportunity to dance.  7-9 p.m.

SATURDAY - September 19,  - Classes with Charity LeBron at Juline School of Dance -  144 Woodrow (Corner of McHenry)   11 a.m. Beginner level, noon intermediate level, 1-1:45 p.m. guided practica $12 per class.  Practica only $5. Introductory class for absolute beginners 10:15 - $5, credited toward class with Charity if they decide to stay.  One time only introductory packages of nine beginner level lessons for $75 available.
