Modesto Tango Bulletin, April 11 2016

Tango Master, Eduardo Saucedo taught a couple of wonderful lessons, the first one focused on embellishments, the second one focused on milonga.  We will continue to work on those concepts during our next gathering.  We were indeed fortunate to have him visiting our community.  He always likes to get a group picture after his classes….

For a video summary of the second class go to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1crPmFMJ18

Re: Modesto Tango Bulletin, April 4 2016

Hi, Kikki

Since you probably won't get here much before our class, let me give you the address and some direction to the studio.
The address is 4345 Spyres, it is just off bangs, and the entrance is to the back of the part of the building that faces Spyres.
If you are coming from Fresno…
Take the Pelandale Exit off Hwy 99.  Go East on Pelandale until you get to Tully.
Left on Tully - one block, Right on Bangs.  Right on Spyres.
As to anything else planned for Saturday, I only know there is no milonga, and we might possibly schedule a couple of privates at my house, but not sure if Carol has made any plans.  I'll let her answer that.
Looking forward to seeing you.
If you should run into problems, my cell phone no. is  (209) 402-0923

We return to tango this week with some exciting developments.  We are resuming our weekly practicas thisTuesday, March 29 at 8 pm at Ralston's Goat, on 10th, corner with J Street.  The owner does want to point out, that the kitchen closes at 8 p.m., so if you want to eat, come before then.  Otherwise, we will dance till10 p.m.  These practices are a great way to go over class material in an informal and social way, so come early to eat, or just order a glass of wine or a coke, or cup of coffee and socialize while dancing

On another front, this coming Saturday we will continue working on some of the basics that Roman gave us last time, however, he, himself cannot be with us as he will be in Florida.  HOWEVER, on Saturday, April 9we will be hosting Eduardo Saucedo from Buenos Aires, who just finished working as a judge in the Tango USA competition.  He is a renown tango master, performer and choreographer, who many consider to be one of the best teachers ever, so save your money to experience one or both of his workshops.

Until later, Mary
