Classes resume Saturday (Sept. 11) at our NEW VENUE,  Sophia's Dance Journey,  711 10th Street, behind the Gallo Center. Visit the farmers market before or after class.  We open a new year with Peter's six-week series to get beginners going, ending with a car pool to a milonga or practilonga in Sacramento or the Bay Area.

NO PRACTICA tonight; Jacobs closes for Labor Day. See you at Sophia's Saturday.

CALENDAR FOR THE WEEK

MONDAY - 7 tonight, Sept. 6, NO PRACTICA. Enjoy Labor Day.  Normally there is social dancing and practica at Jacobs Fine Dining, 2501 McHenry.  No fee, but you're encouraged to order food or drink off the menu. A good place to practice class material. Come early to eat off a new menu, the "Blue Sage Bistro".

SATURDAY - Sept. 11 - Classes resume at Sophia's Dance Journey, 711 10th Street (between G & H), Peter Baldridge teaching.  Introductory classes for  beginners 11 a.m. - Intermediate  and advanced class at 12:30 p.m. $12 per person per class, drop in. You may pay $30 for the rest of the month, or  $75 for the six-week series plus milonga.

Ernesto Rassi's theater company "California A Todo Tango" presents second= California "Vibraciones del Alma" (Vibrations of the Soul), a lively tango musical, with dancing and singing and music of the Golden Age of Tango. Mostly local dancers from the Sacramento tango community (but also including Darren Lees & Facundo Posadas!), this  show offers a glimpse into this beautiful, sensuous and historical dance. Cost is $20 in advance or $25 at the door (ADVANCE REGISTRATION ENDS THURSDAY, SEPT 30, AT 5 P.M.)
