Our milonga at Jacobs with Marcelo Molina was a great success. We seek a date to bring him to Modesto for workshops. To do so we will need some commitments.

Next Saturday, Oct. 23, Peter will finish his six weeks, applying the techniques to milonga rhythms. That evening we car pool to a milonga in Sacramento - gather at 6:15 p.m. at the Starbucks by the Freeway. Experience the setting in which the skills learned are utilized. Information about the milonga is below.

Meanwhile we are cancelling classes on Saturday, Oct. 30. Too many regulars will be away. So enjoy your Halloween.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, Jan. 12, as Tango Buenos Aires returns to the Gallo center. There will be a pre-show milonga in the lobby.

Friday, Oct. 15, is our milonga at Jacobs with Argentine Marcelo Molina. He danced in this August's world tango championship and in 2008 won for his home town of Cordova, qualifying for the semi-final world stage tango championship.

He will perform for us at 10:15

Norberto's style is characterized by creativity and improvisation. Since the beginning of his career he showed his capacity to innovate, creating a very personal image. He is considered "REY DE LOS GANCHO" (king of ganchos). Known as El Pulpo or 'octopus' for his fluid and intricate leg movements, he developed the concept of suspension as a tool to generate the control and fluidity that is part of his dance style. This vision of dance is hypnotic when he performs, always improvising.
