Bulletin September 24, 2007

Buenos Aires, Argentina! If a trip to the birthplace of tango ever intrigued you, attend a short meeting at Jacobs next Monday, Oct. 1, around 9:15 - right after the workshop - to learn more. Gato is interested in putting together a tour for our Modesto group next June or July - so, whether you do the workshop or not, come to the meeting to learn what is possible.

The workshops themselves have been well attended, and you are all encouraged to attend one or more. The list of classes below.
Our Video of the Week features 'Gato' and Andrea in a summary of last week's lesson.
Their last two of eight sessions will focus on milonga. Classes start at 7:30, (a chance to eat early) and end at 9 p.m. (a chance to practice after class).

Patrick continues his rotation with work on sacadas and ganchos for intermediates and the eight count basic for beginners. He will be with us two more weeks. His classes are always fun.

Coming up: Nov. 6, Tango Buenos Aires at the new Gallo Center - a show we all want to catch, but also an opportunity to spread the word about Modesto Tango. We want volunteers on either side of the doors as people leave, passing out cards advising the public of our existence. If able to help, contact me.
