  Our class with Ed Loomis on vals was unfortunately cut short, so when he comes back on July 29, he will continue to work on vals (Argentine Waltz) We will also continue to work on vals in our Wednesday class as well as next Saturday

A car pool will be headed up to Columbia to take advantage of Chooi's class up there. I you are interested in joining the car pool let us know. The Dance Castle, 23496 Gold Springs Drive, Columbia 95310. Beginners 12 - 1 pm. Intermediate 1:30 - 3:00 pm $10

TUESDAY: July 11, Weekly practica at Urbano, a chance to practice what was covered in class, try out new stuff, eat, drink and socialize. 1016 H Street, 7 - 9, no fee, just fun. See pictures of us dancing at the practica.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

WEDNESDAY: July 19 at 2:45 p.m. class at Modesto Senior Center, 211 Bodem Avenue focusing on tango basics. 2:45 / 3:45. No fee.  

 

SATURDAY: July 22, Class at studio V. 4345 Spyres Ave., working on concepts introduced by Ed Loomis.    

11 a.m. $10 Unless you attended any of Ed's classes, in which case the cost was covered.

MILONGA being a specific rhythm, and NOT a "fast Tango", as some people comment. The secret of the MILONGA is the HABANERA. Understand the HABANERA, to improve your MILONGA joyful experience.

Intermediate class 7-8 p.m. Steve Lupi teaches 

Beginner-level class, tailored to newcomers with no experience as well as those interested in fine-tuning their existing basic skills—Intermediate level class focuses on the essential building blocks of Tango to create steps and figures. Must be able to lead/follow ochos, molinetes, and the 8 count basic step.

The Ballroom of Sacramento, 6009 Folsom Blvd. with Paul Zimny 7 p.m. Argentine Tango 1 - Introductory class explores Argentine Tango basics- progressive class - refreshes by calendar month. 8 p.m. Argentine Tango 2 - you just need to know the basics for a class that further explores the many possibilities for both leaders and followers - progressive class with new theme each calendar month

 

THURSDAY -

Mike & Alisa will be offering a tango class that will encompass all the concepts, skills and practice that will enable you to look and feel your best while expressing yourself through tango. You will need to have completed at least the beginning class to take this class.

7:30 - 9:00 pm : $50/month or $15 drop-in 

  

Danville:

The Dance Corner, 2927 Fulton Ave, Weekly Friday classes from 7pm to 8pm (still $10 per class) followed by a Práctica from 8pm to 9pm to have more continuous floor time. The Práctica is free to class participants, or only $3 by itself.

This is a lovely dance venue with excellent floor, sound system, & lighting. There's lots of free, safe parking next to the studio. Questions? Please call 916-807-4210.
