We had a nice time at our milonga on  Friday, and a great class with Kenny & Choiwho worked on Saccades and Ocho Cortado.  for a recap, see  This Week's Video .  We will continue to work on that material this coming Saturday.  Kenny & Choi return again on May 16.

  CALENDAR FOR THE WEEK


TUESDAY:  May 5 & 12,  we meet at Urbanos, 1016 H Street, behind Gallo Center for the Arts for our weekly practica.

No fee, but you are encouraged to order food or drink from the menu. Come early to dine!  This is the time to practice what you learn in class, and we had a great time last week.

 

WEDNESDAY: May 6, 2015,   Class at  Modesto Senior Center,  211 Bodem Avenue.  Class in tango basics.

 

SATURDAY: May 9,  2015 -   Class in basics at studio V, Pilates and Fitness Studio, 4345 Spyres.  11 a.m.  $10

Tango by the River, 128 J Street, 2nd & 4th Saturdays  - 2nd & 4th Saturdays.  This Saturday, May 9, workshops with  River is  Guillermo De Fazio (one of the amazing brothers in Los Hermanos Macana) accompanied by Sara Thomsen for one workshop only! Don't miss this chance to take your tango to another level!

7:45-9:00 p.m. -- Tango: Technique & Musicality with Enrosques for Men and Embellishments for Women!

Cost is $25 for the workshop, $10 for the milonga that follows.

 

Firehouse Five Studio: 2014 9th St. TANGO BRAVO MILONGA!!   hosted by Miguel Taillant:,  1st, 3rd and 5th Saturday.  This is a traditional milonga and   similar to  those  experienced in Buenos Aires.   8 pm - 9 pm:  Tango lesson with Miguel Taillant,  9pm  - 12:30-01-00 am:  Milonga,  $10:00
