Modesto Tango Bulletin, Aug 25, 2014

The summer is coming to an end and next weekend will be Labor Day Weekend, so there will be no classes, or practica at Jacobs on Labor Day itself.
Peter Baldridge gave us a lot of different " salidas" for the academic basic, and we will continue to work on those when we next meet on September  6.

September 20 we will welcome back Eduardo Saucedo, tango master from Buenos Aires.  He will be conducting a couple of workshops, one at 2:00 & another at 3:30 p.m. and host a milonga that evening.  All events, workshop as well as milonga will be at Jacobs.  He has been touring through Northern California.  He is a favorite dancer and teacher, respected throughout the world.  Classes for that day will be at Jacobs Fine Dining in the afternoon.Attached is a picture of him dancing with Mayumi at an event she hosted.

There is much excitement in the Modesto tango world right now.  We have been looking forward to bringing live tango music to Modesto, a first, in October.

Now we can also announce that on September 20 we will be welcoming back Eduardo Saucedo, tango master from Buenos Aires.  He will be conducting a couple of workshops and host our milonga that evening at Jacobs.  Stay tuned for more information, but for now, mark your calendars.  You can get a feel for him in this Video of the WeeK he produced - enjoy!

We had many new people last Saturday, so we pretty much dedicated the whole hour to basics.

Next Saturday, Peter Baldridge comes from Sacramento to conduct a couple of classes.  The first class, starting at 11 a.m. will focus on basic technique issues,  for all levels, and beginners are encouraged.  The second class, at 12:30, will be at a more intermediate level. Peter is a very precise technician and comes to us with a wealth of information about tango and it's history.  The cost of the class is $15 for one class, and $25 for both.
