We hope your Memorial Day was pleasant.  Classes resume Saturday as Mayumi returns for more workshops. One for all levels at 11 a.m. will stress  technique; a second at 12:30 is more advanced.  Those who missed her first class here should try to not  miss this one.  She is an excellent teacher.

  CALENDAR FOR THE WEEK

MONDAY - Tonight,  May  26  -  Practica cancelled for Memorial Day.  Social dance and practica at Jacobs' Fine Dining. 2501 McHenry, resumes on June 2.  No fee, but you are encouraged to order food or drink from the menu.  Some come early to dine. 

 

WEDNESDAY -  May 28:  Classes at the senior center,  211 Bodem.   2:45 p.m. - Beginning basics.  (free).

 

SATURDAY -  May  31 -  Class  at Studio V,  Pilates & Fitness with Mayumi Fujio.  One class $15.  Both classes $25.   Groupon vouchers will be  acceptable for the first class.


   MILONGA

Modesto's next milonga is on the first Friday, June 6 - No guest artist, no introductory lesson, just a chance to eat, drink, socialize and tango - Jacobs Fine Dining, 2501 McHenry Avenue, 7:30 p.m.  $5

COMING TO MODESTO: the Redwood Tango Ensemble.  Nothing beats dancing to live music. This wonderful ensemble, featuring  one bandoneon, two violins, string bass and keyboard make a wonderful sound. They will just have returned from the east, so mark you calendars for Saturday, Oct. 11.
