Much to look forward to in the next weeks. We worked on sacadas last Saturday, and expect to continue working on them this Saturday. We have another first Friday milonga on August 3.  
Here's a chance to socialize, dance and dine.
On  Saturday, August 11, Michelle Gorre of Sacramento will teach - at Jacobs instead of VBoogie's. Michelle has taught  in Sacramento for years, has an extensive dance background.

Friday, Sept. 14. - Tango Del Cielo at the  Gallo Center with a pre-show milonga.  Tickets $20-30 from http://tickets.galloarts.org/single/SelectSeating.aspx?p=2751

On Saturday, Sept. 29, Eduardo Saucedo, master teacher and dancer from Buenos Aires, will lead Modesto workshops. He is the go-to instructor for private lessons.  There will be two workshops and an evening milonga; save the date and your cash.


MONDAY - Tonight, July 30 & August 6.  Social dance and practica, Jacobs Fine Dining  7-9 p.m. No fee, but you're urged to order food or drink off the menu.

FRIDAY - August 3, First Friday milonga at Jacobs.  No guest artist, no lesson, just a chance to dance, socialize and dine with fellow tangueros.  7:30 p.m. at Jacobs Fine Dining, 2501 McHenry. $5

SATURDAY - August 4  - 11 a.m.-noon. Class at VBoogie's Dance Journey, 711 10th St. $10.  Summer classes free to leaders (usually men) willing to dance with followers.  When fees for all resume, free participants will be grand-fathered and continue free. Encourage them to join now.

Tango By The River, 128 J St,, Old Sacramento - 8-11 p.m.  Practilonga - combines the best of practica and milonga.  From 8 to 8:15 p.m, Kenny & Chooi's  "Tango Tip"  might range from refining technique in an embellishment, a step useful for navigating the floor, a stretch particularly good for dancers, etc. $5 entry.
